Common questions
Where are my catches stored?
Your catch records and app-owned photos are stored on your iPhone. CatchLog does not require an account or operate a server that receives your journal.
How do I back up my journal?
Open Settings in CatchLog and choose Back Up Journal. Save the backup file somewhere you control. To bring it back, choose Restore Journal and select that file.
Can I export my catches?
Yes. Settings offers a CSV export and a photo journal PDF. Your iPhone's share sheet lets you choose where each file goes.
Why does CatchLog request camera or location access?
The camera is used only when you choose to take a catch photo. Location access is requested only when you choose to save your current location. You can also enter a location manually or keep a catch without one.
